ALEKS pie party-- Thursday, May 27th!

I know everyone has been working super hard to reach their ALEKS goal of completing their 5th grade pie or spending 9 hours on ALEKS this quarter.  We have decided to have the party on May 27th so keep working towards those goals and we look forward to celebrating everyone's hard work!

DARE SHIRTS!

We are excited to announce that we were able to have DARE shirts donated to us!!  So, that changes attire for Thursday (but just a little!).  Each student will wear their DARE shirt -- it's a light gray-- and then should wear either nice pants/shorts or a skirt to go with it.  We will pass out the shirts on Thursday morning so that no one has to worry about losing it before then or forgetting.  Thanks so much! 

Homework this week!

For homework this week the kids should be focused especially on getting their book club pages read.  They will be given some time throughout the week to read their books at school but they need to make sure to finish that reading at home if they cannot finish it here at school.  The book club books should be finished on Monday, May 22.  

We are also working toward our ALEKS goal of finishing our 5th grade pies!  

Tomorrow is Fly Up Day!

Tomorrow is our Fly Up Day to Sperreng!  We will be walking from Concord to Sperreng (weather permitting) so please make sure your child is wearing shoes that are comfortable to walk in and is wearing a Concord shirt. We are looking forward to an exciting afternoon!

For homework this week: 

Read at least 20 minutes every night!

Everyone's ALEKS goal this quarter is to complete the 5th grade pie and/or complete 7 hours.  If your child is interested in attending the pie party during the last week of school (we are thinking Tuesday), I encourage them to work on that at home as well.
